Waquim Filsaime | Chairman of the Board
Filsaime's entire career can be defined as targeted employment that led to the creation of his vision of an ideal quick service restaurant. Throughout his career he has been recognized as an inspirational leader as evidenced by his appointment to the National Small Business Association Leadership Council.
Waquim Filsaime founded and is Chairman of Perseverance Endeavors, Inc. This organization was set up to launch the Filsaime Flavors chain of Herbivore quick restaurants. Filsaime most previous role was at Denny's as a District Manager overseeing 6 stores in Utah and Idaho. Prior to that position he worked with Taco Bell as an ARLIT. During his time there he provided management, leadership, coordination, and support to Restaurant General Managers within market area.
Prior to Taco Bell, Filsaime was the District Trainer for Kneaders Bakery & Café. Filsaime developed a world class training infrastructure across the state of Colorado for new hires and management programs. Filsaime evolved a 9-store management team within the district to deliver exceptional guest service in all stores. While with Kneaders, he planned, identified, communicated, and delegated key responsibilities and practices to each store management team to ensure smooth flow of operations within the district.
Filsaime’s first leadership role in Colorado was as the Franchisee Training Manager for Wing Stop. This is where Filsaime honed is vision for leadership. He maintained a 98% TOP GUN corporate audit evaluation revolving around brand standards & food safety. Filsaime took action and developed action plans by studying financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; and recommending objectives. His vision for building a quality customer experience was born here and has been the heartbeat of the Filsaime Flavors vision.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Filsaime studied at Strayer University (Charlotte, NC) pursuing his Bachelors in Business Administration concentrating in Human Resources. During this time, he supported himself by becoming an Assistant General Manager of Fulenwider Enterprises, a franchisee of YUM! Brands. This position gave him his first glimpse of leadership, a focused passion for the rest of his life.
Augustin Painter | Chief Investment Officer
Austin Painter brings over a fifteen years of financial markets experience to Filsaime Flavors. Painter spent his career occupying various positions across numerous investment banking and trading desks such as Square 1 Bank, CG Capital Markets, Pickwick Capital Partners, and Gray Cardinal Partners.
At Square 1 Bank, Painter served as an Underwriting Analyst where he monitored $200M loan portfolio across 70 borrowers and numerous complex lending arrangements. During his time at CG Capital Markets, he was the Managing Director and developed and analyzed 25+ Investment Banking opportunities across the Healthcare, Energy, and Tech Sectors. While at Pickwick Capital Partners he Built $4M opportunity pipeline through active marketing to industry contacts, lawyers, and other bankers. In addition to leveraging pipelines to develop a network of 200+ family offices, PE and VC firms through direct outreach and networking.
Most recently, Mr. Painter served as Managing Director of King Tide Partners where he specialized in middle market Priavte Equity transactions.
Mr. Painter has been a licensed financial representative for 10 years holding his Series 7 and 63 licenses. Mr. Painter graduated with degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Emory University in 2008 and received his MBA from Emory University in 2015.
